Objective of the simulation: To analyze the pressure distribution of water flow through a ball valve assembly under four different configurations. In the first and second configurations, the valve is not fully opened. Additionally, a mass flow rate of 0.5 kg/s is present at the inlet wall. In the second configuration, two sharp edges are filleted and the pressure drop is investigated to determine if increase in manufacturing costs presents any improvement in the design.
